Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Senior RPG Engineer to join their Prime Labels and Packaging IT team! Your Responsibilities: Planning, analysis and implementation of web and windows software applications Quality assurance including unit testing, bug reports and automated notifications Follow new technology and best practices, enhancing technical policies and standards Contribute technical and process knowledge/skills within project teams, including involvement in e-commerce and web development initiatives Work with business leaders to identify analytical requirements as needed Other duties as assigned, including server/IIS setup, database maintenance and overall IT planning You Must Have: Bachelor's degree in a related area (or equivalent experience) 8+ years of programming experience Experience with Scott Klement's HTTPLIB API's, RPGIV/ILE/FREE Database experience table/index creation, CL programming, creating/consuming web services, XML or Json files ILE binding and using binding directories Aldon or other source management experience Experience with tax work solutions Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to work closely with users throughout the lifecycle of application development and deployment Ability to demonstrate programming knowledge Analysis, planning and implementation of web and windows software applications Understanding of and ability to demonstrate object-oriented programming principles Ability to logically structure applications to promote loose coupling Ability to understand and implement event driven application development and multithreading SQL Server (schemas, queries, stored procedures) - able to write store procedures and interact with SQL server database using .NET, WCF/Web API services We Would Also Prefer: Solid understanding of i-series operations PHP experience Knowledge of shipping programs About Taylor Corporation One of the largest graphics communications firms in North America, Taylor's family of companies provide a diverse set of products, services, and technologies addressing the toughest communication challenges.
