Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a Technical Sales professional with a deep understanding of life sciences and/or biotech laboratory needs. Our Technical Sales Consultants are instrumental in driving business growth, understanding customer needs and clearly articulating the value of our software and services. You will be responsible for growing revenue and exploring new business prospects in the dynamic North American market. This role carries a sales quota for the Americas region. Flexibility is key in this role, as you adapt to remote-working patterns, participate in global calls, and travel (up to 25%).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in any life science related field, or four additional years equivalent proven experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ technical sales exposure, preferably in the Laboratory Software Solutions, LIMS, ELN, SDMS.

  • Hands-on knowledge of the life sciences laboratory or biotech / biopharma work environment, including a theoretical or practical understanding of techniques such as Next-Gen and Sanger Sequencing, qPCR, Digital PCR, Flow Cytometry, Animal Models, Cell Culture / Cell Therapies, Pathology (anatomic and molecular), Biobanking and diagnostics.

  • Proven ability to showcase software, solicit technical requirements, and communicate value to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Understanding of commercial operations within sophisticated sales cycles.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in North Carolina is $102,200.00–$136,300.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
