As the Special Education Research, Practices & Implementation Supervisor in the Special Education division, you will supervise, facilitate and support:

  • Multi-dimensional aspects of statewide planning, implementation, and evaluation of special education programs and services in Minnesota as they relate to the district level planning and implementation of evidence-based practices and continuous improvement;

  • Coordination of improvement strategies and results-based work to improve outcomes for students with disabilities within the context of general education instruction, including coordination with Elementary and Secondary Education Act and other school and districtwide plans and efforts affecting students with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

6 years of professional experience in Special Education

OR

A bachelor's or master's degree and 5 years of professional experience in Special Education

Experience must include:

  • Supervisory or lead experience

  • Knowledge and experience in behavioral supports and interventions

  • Knowledge and experience in reading instruction and interventions

  • Knowledge and experience in mathematics instruction and interventions

  • Knowledge and experience in selection, installation and implementation of evidence-based practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing and evaluating school or district improvement plans

  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing continuous improvements processes

  • Experience in Implementation Science, including evaluating capacity and fidelity of practice implementation

  • At least 5 years of experience as part of a leadership team overseeing implementation of an evidence-based practice in a specific school, district, region or state

  • Knowledge and experience implementing multi-tiered systems of support, including evaluation of capacity and fidelity of implementation
