Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a career transition? Robert Half has an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area with an immediate start date. You will improve upon monthly and quarterly reporting and handle the operation and cultivation of data-driven planning processes. The main responsibilities of this Senior Financial Analyst role will include developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, driving world class strategic and financial planning methods, and building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives. You will supply revenues and expenses, variance analysis of bookings, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. This role will allow you to directly be involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. Your responsibilities

  • Utilize effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

  • Work closely together with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

  • Assemble and watch forecasting reports

  • Engage with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

  • Direct weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

  • Dissect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

  • Deliver monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

  • Discern and describe internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Get together with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA preferred

    • Skillfulness in simplifying complex problems and building solutions

    • Previous workmanship with financial reporting tools

  • 5+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required

    • Strong presentation skills
  • Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with forecasting

  • Proven knowledge of forecasting & modeling

  • Solid understanding of Cash Flow Modeling

  • Budget forecasting experience

  • Cash forecasting experience

  • Knowledge of financial modeling
