This position is based in Minneapolis, MN. As a key member of the Customer Development team, the Sr Manager Channel and Customer Planning position is instrumental in the development and communication of CPG sales strategy for the Jack Link’s portfolio and will be responsible for the profitable growth of the Club, Ecomm, and Walmart channels. The Sr Manager Channel and Customer Planning will be responsible for customer marketing, trade fund management, pricing strategy, product positioning strategy, and competitive analysis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Leads business team in the development of customer strategic plans and customer trade strategy
Develops CPG channel trade plans and product promotion strategies.
Participates as a core member of a sales & marketing focused business team, including the development and communication of all corporate and channel objectives.
Facilitates customer led new product innovation recommendations as well as changes, improvements or deletions in existing products.
Utilizes data to analyze market trends through the use of syndicated data, industry statistics, market research, and customer interaction to identify and solve for market opportunities.
Lead liaison in new product planning for sales
Supports field sales in the development of sales programs, through the sales tools, and deployment of marketing programming.
Acts as the corporate representative of field sales organization to deliver best in class sales category and LSI Brand growth.
Marketing event support
Undertakes specific company market projects, as assigned.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
7+ years of related experience in CPG sales/marketing with an in depth understanding of trade spending and analytics.
P&L management capabilities
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills
Consumer Packaged Goods experience
Preferred Experience
Nielsen & Consumer Insights experience
Trade Marketing and Customer Marketing experience
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.
Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
The salary range for this role is $131,200 - $180,400 (Annually). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards.
