Brands in the Apogee family are Alumicor, EFCO, Harmon, Linetec, Tru Vue, Tubelite, and Viracon. www.apog.com Position Summary Reporting directly to the Apogee CFO and dotted line to the Glass business unit President, the incumbent will act as a business partner for the business president and management team, providing key decision support on a broad range of commercial and strategic issues, particularly as the business seeks to reposition the business products and services to drive profitable growth. The VP of Finance will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's Finance activities including (1) business unit financial management and forecasting; (2) functional excellence; (3) Critical business unit decisions support and strategic business partner, annual operating plan (AOP) and related project planning and management. The successful incumbent will help the business unit maximize long term sales, grow at or above market rates, expand business unit EBIT, maximize efficiency and effectiveness of human and financial capital deployment, provide a structure enabling faster integration, ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information, ensure operation of key financial and operational controls, and establish credibility throughout the enterprise as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges. Reporting Relationship: This position will report to the Apogee CFO while serving as a strategic partner to Glass Business President, by proactively partnering on business issues, providing insights and driving good decision making through sound financial management. This role will be part of Glass Leadership team, and Finance Leadership team. Responsibilities Business Unit Financial Management and Forecasting Encompassing segment financial management, budgeting, forecasting, , manufacturing and commercial support. Ensure accuracy and integrity of business unit forecasts, and once committed, ensure they are delivered in support of the enterprise delivering on its external commitments. Lead the business units in preparation of the budget, Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Provide financial reporting for the business unit and to corporate as appropriate. Finance Functional Excellence. Work with the Corporate Finance and Segment Finance teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the historical financial information, aligned and effective delivery of Finance support to business units and functions, and successful operation of internal controls. Lead the Segment Finance team, providing insights and reports on the business as needed. Ensure that all business unit policies and procedures are implemented and executed properly. Lead execution of internal controls for the segment. Ensures that the business unit maintains compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, GAAP, corporate financial policies and SOX requirements. Monitor working capital levels to ensure efficient cash flow. Evaluate the finance structure and activities at the business unit to identify areas for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Provide leadership to the segment finance organization to build a highly competent team that can drive results. Provide individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities and development. Strategic Business Partner. Deliver insightful analysis to the business unit president and leadership team in support business objectives and decision making. Oversee the preparation strategic plans and annual budgets for the business unit, working with the business unit leadership team to critically review plans to ensure they meet bot short- and long-run objectives. Serve as a key member of the business unit leadership team to drive and implement strategies that are critical to the overall business and financial success. Support the development and implementation of business unit strategic planning, challenging the team to explore new opportunities for top and bottom line growth. Ensures high quality decision support through financial analysis for geographic expansion opportunities, pricing strategy, customer and product profitability, new product development, manufacturing and supply chain optimization, capital asset investments, and potential acquisitions. Evaluate and monitor new capital investment opportunities and ensure delivery for return on investment. Analyze business unit operations to pinpoint opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field along with a minimum of 15+ years of experience Experience working in a publicly traded company Knowledge of financial tools (Excel, PowerBI, SAP-BPC, etc.) Ability to effectively manage and lead teams Experience working in a matrix organization Preferred: Experience working with and supporting manufacturing and/or construction industry Master's degree in business administration, accounting or finance CPA #LI-TV1 Apogee and our brands are an equal opportunity employer.
