Everyone is welcome, differences are celebrated, and horizons are limitless. We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our Civil Design Group. Location options for this opportunity include Minneapolis, MN and Fargo, ND. SRF offers a hybrid work model, allowing our staff to work fromthe officefull-time or work part-time in the office and part-time remotely. As a Water Resources Engineer, you will assist with the development and management of a variety of transportation focused projects for public sector clients such as cities, counties, and transportation departments. Our group's services include hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, roadway drainage system layout and design, BMP design, stormwater permitting, and more. Responsibilities: Roadway drainage system layout and design, including new and retrofit systems and design of Best Management Practices (BMPs). Design of stormwater reuse systems, green infrastructure, and other sustainable stormwater management systems. Alternatives analysis, preliminary design, and final design of stormwater management systems. Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling. Hydraulic analysis related to culvert and channel design. Design of erosion control and sediment management BMPs. Wetland and floodplain mitigation analysis and permitting. Development of the water resources component of environmental documents (EA, EAW, EIS). Collaborating with internal company groups and external clients. Promote team growth by teaching and learning from a diverse group of practitioners. Assisting with growing the water resources practice. Works on tasks and projects that require increased ingenuity and problem-solving skills. May oversee day-to-day tasks of other team members. May review and sign off on plans, drawings, specifications, reports, and other documents. Supports the mission of technical excellence and accountability by maintaining PE licensure as a sign of engineering qualifications and trust in quality work. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited school. Minimum of four years of experience. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
