Job Summary The person in this role will work as part of our team to implement, support, and use the Workday Adaptive Planning tool in helping our firm improve the financial reporting, planning, and forecasting processes. This role reports to the FP&A leader and will work closely with the Finance IT organization to effectively implement Workday Adaptive for our firm. This person will assist our firm in leading, developing, and maintaining the planning process to improve decision-making. The focus will be on continuous process improvement while being responsible for coordinating data structures and process workflow changes to the planning process. The Workday Adaptive Planning Manager needs strong project management skills, an understanding of business process workflow to meet the needs of our evolving firm, and Adaptive implementation experience. Essential Duties Workday Adaptive Planning Creates and maintains the Workday Adaptive system to tie into and align to our ERP (Workday), HCM (Workday) and Azure (BI) systems. Maintains, administers, and manages the Adaptive Planning data structures, and model changes to support firm processes and operational needs. Participates in the selection, implementation, configuration, testing, support, customization, and optimization of our clients' financial reporting, forecasting, and planning systems. Performs system administration tasks such as access and change management, version creation, and data feeds. Participates in the selection, implementation, configuration, testing, support, customization, and optimization of our firm's financial reporting, forecasting, and planning systems. Develops and maintains accurate financial planning reports to meet the firm's needs. Develops, configures, and maintains accurate forecasting and planning models to meet the firm's needs. Develops and maintains detailed technical knowledge of the specifications, operations, and diagnostics of reporting, forecasting, and planning systems. Documents procedures, reports, and operations. Relationship Management Act as advisor to the FP&A team to ensure Adaptive is leveraging the latest technology and is aligned with industry standards. Manage day to day interactions with leaders and stakeholders across the firm. Gain first choice advisor status with stakeholders by understanding the business and developing strategies with leaders to gain tangible benefits using Workday and solutions. Design and implement the use of Adaptive Planning by other business leaders, outside of FP&A, to facilitate quarterly and annual planning. Project Management Provides guidance to individual workstreams to help with their overall progress. Escalates risks and issues as needed, ensuring cross-functional activities are coordinated and occurring as needed and Assists with project management activities (or serving as project manager), ensuring deliverables are developed and ready according to plan. Manages Adaptive transformation projects. Conducts training sessions for users. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Required Major in Accounting or information systems. Preferred EXPERIENCE Experience in Adaptive system configuration, at least at a Functional Admin level, to advise partners on Adaptive capabilities, limitations, and delivered functionality. Required 8+ years of EPM project implementations with a minimum of 2 years of Workday Adaptive lanning. Required Experience solving configuration and integration issues through root-cause analysis, deep understanding of cross-stream and down-stream impacts, and independent testing. Preferred. Strong background in financial reporting, financial report systems, and data flows. Preferred. Organization and project management skills. Required. TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS Ability to translate functional requirements to technical language and vice versa. Experience facilitating discussions to bring technical and functional groups to consensus and common understanding. Required Ability to think globally about a process impact, but also be able to manage relevant detail. Required Strong "storytelling" skills with ability to demonstrate, influence and negotiate. Preferred Resourcefulness and a knack for navigating challenges independently; the ability to handle conflict, strong prioritization skills, and excellent customer-service orientation.
