Job Description Summary

The Huntington Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE) team is seeking an experienced technologist to serve in the capacity of Release Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience with the organization and execution of both end-to-end multi-system testing strategy and release of tested capabilities to production regions. The manager will work with Business, Information Technology and Vendor delivery partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for setting scope of release, testing schedule and release timing

• Create and maintain a release calendar accounting for quarterly Enterprise releases and cross-team impacted teams

• Work with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Delivery Managers to slot Features/MVPs into each release

• Establish end-to-end testing strategy based on multi-system delivery with cross-impacted teams

• Build testing schedule for Features/MVPs aligned to release; escalate timing concerns to stakeholders

• Drive all teams to a Release Ready state

• Establish entry requirements for end-to-end testing; evaluate and adjust testing schedule based on team/system readiness

• Coordinate environment availability needed for end-to-end testing activities across all cross-impacted teams and systems

• Generate test execution metrics (e.g., open defects, testing velocity) and report to stakeholders on a daily basis; ensure defects are classified consistently across all teams

• Drive teams to resolve high priority defects; identify and proactively reduce and remove roadblocks; escalate issues as needed

• Assist business stakeholders with acceptance testing and training activities; ensure defects raised are reviewed and resolved

• Obtain all necessary stakeholder sign-offs for tested capabilities

  Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• 2+ years of related experience managing test execution with a focus on coordinating cross-team, end-to-ends test plans

• 2+ years of related experience working in a portfolio/program/release management capacity (business or technical)

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required for interacting and collaborating with developers, analysts, and business staff throughout the organization

• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to instruct a high-performing team, work with partners to set and meet business service level agreement levels, and plan and deliver work to expectations

  Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in large scale, enterprise organizations

• 3+ years of experience executing delivery activities based on Agile methodology.

• 3+ years of experience focused on the Salesforce platform

• Experience in Financial Services industry or with financial applications

• Familiarity with Enterprise DevOps practices and tools (e.g. CI/CD pipelines) and automation of the release process
