General Maintenance Technician

Currently hiring a General Maintenance Technician in the Minooka, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Shift: Weekend/Overnight Shift from Saturday to Monday.

5:30pm-5am. 30-minute lunch break.

Job Description:

• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing, including customers, suppliers, and associates.

• Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, and electronic and electrical equipment according to procedures.

• Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.

• Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities, including bathrooms, plumbing, painting, and drywall.

• Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.

• Troubleshoot basic problems with equipment where the repair is visible or obvious.

• Communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, and associates.

• Complete work orders, records, logs, and other documents according to procedures.

• Mechanical and electrical repair skills.

• Building maintenance knowledge.

• Drywall, plumbing, or painting experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year's experience in repairing/maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment in an industrial or non-industrial setting OR 2 years' related vocational training.

Work Environment:

The role may involve working with substances that require special handling and exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, or drafty conditions. The position includes moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, working at heights, and spending extended periods indoors or outdoors. Additionally, the role may involve working in areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.45 - $30.45
