Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. This role involves performing routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. The specialist will also ensure the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings related to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Responsibilities

  • Review open accounts for collection efforts and follow up via phone or email on overdue balances.

  • Make outbound collection calls in a professional manner while maintaining and improving customer relations.

  • Distribute customer invoices daily and maintain 3rd party and customer billing portals.

  • Resolve account discrepancies by investigating, documenting, and recommending adjustments.

  • Identify issues contributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management.

  • Maintain documentation of customer collection correspondence.

  • Create and maintain customer master records.

  • Work cross-functionally to resolve internal and external customer concerns in a timely manner.

  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.

  • Assist in accounting department projects as needed.

  • Research and process credit memo requests.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 3-4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-changing environment.

  • Attention to detail and deadline-driven.

  • ERP Experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Aviation industry experience is a plus.

  • Quantum Control ERP System experience is a plus.
