Overview

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the overall quality of systems and technology that are released into ETP’s production environment. The scope of this role includes the comprehensive aspects of quality including testing documentation, planning and execution of testing, testing validation, and obtaining approval using both manual processes and automated tools that are available in the SGWS environment.

In their role, the Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the product meets business requirements and overall business objectives by tracking and reporting quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status, as well as documenting problems and communicating the issue to development staff to assist in their resolution.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with Agile scrum teams and be responsible for the quality of the product by handling required testing activities.

  • Participate in story grooming session to come with effective test plan and coverage

  • Participate in testing activities such as Test Planning, Test case writing, test execution, defect management and reporting.

  • Execute Story level, Integration and End to End testing across the Commercial eCommerce area in ETP.

  • Build automation within the sprint to certify the stories from quality and performance perspective.

  • Participate in sprint ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Sprint refinement, Standup, Defect triage, Sprint demo etc.) involving cross functional and business teams

  • Support continuous integration and continuous deployment through automated tests.

  • Collaborates within teams to triage and resolve technical issues as needed

  • Manage daily review and analysis of automated tests results and reporting

  • Integrating automated tests as part of CI (Continuous Integration) Tools and delivery practices with tools like Jenkins and Bamboo

Minimum Qualifications / Specialized Skills & Technologies

  • 3 or more years’ combined experience in a Retail B2B or B2C eCommerce business and / or Information Technology in Quality Engineering / testing role.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (computer science, information systems, business administration or other industry related curriculum) or combination of education.

  • Working experience in eCommerce (B2B/B2C) and/or Retail CRM

  • Outstanding written & oral communication, presentation and collaboration skills are required.

  • Experience in working in Agile Methodology of software development

  • Extensive experience of testing and automating applications built with UI frameworks like Angular JS, React, React Native and Micro front end/microservices based architecture.

  • Experience with Tricentis TOSCA or Selenium or equivalent technologies in test automation and must have strong knowledge in developing automation scripts.

  • Experience with code control & bug tracking tools such as GIT, bitbucket and JIRA

  • Knowledge of TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD (Business Driven Development

  • Extensive experience in API testing and automation using open-source testing frameworks like RestAssured, Karate etc.

  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies like Azure or AWS.

  • Experience in JIRA with Test management plugins or Microfocus ALM or similar test management tools.

  • Experience with SQL, RDBMS or NO-SQL (Mongo, Cassandra) is a plus

  • Experience with open-source performance testing tools like JMeter is a plus

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping

  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
