We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Collections Manager based in Shawnee, Kansas. The role is pivotal in maintaining a steady cash flow for our organization by ensuring timely collection of overdue accounts. The successful candidate will lead a team of collection specialists and collaborate with other departments to streamline and optimize our collections process and resolve payment issues.

Responsibilities:

• Leading a high-performing team of collection specialists

• Ensuring timely collection of overdue accounts to maintain a steady cash flow

• Collaborating with other departments to streamline and optimize collections processes

• Resolving escalated issues and negotiating payment arrangements

• Developing and implementing successful collection strategies aimed to minimize overdue accounts and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO)

• Analyzing collections data, trends, and account balances to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategic adjustments as needed

• Hiring, training, and assessing staff performance, and providing them with clear goals and objectives

• Negotiating settlements mindful of our company’s financial interests

• Providing regular reports and insightful recommendations based on data analysis

• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems, B2B collections, CRM, and other tools to manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing Functions, and to generate Aging Reports.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential for this role.

• Prior experience in B2B collections is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems is required.

• A working understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary for this position.

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management is expected.

• Experience in Billing Functions is a key requirement.

• Ability to handle Cash Applications efficiently is desired.

• Generating and interpreting Aging Reports is a crucial aspect of this role.
