GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Developmental role that involves job shadowing and working alongside and under the supervision of an experienced account manager. Exposure to technical water treatment problem-solving and fundamentals to customer selling. Assigned specific tasks on accounts within an existing territory to retain, per direction from manager. Communication with customer base as well as ChemTreat Account Managers and other representative of company to find best solutions to customer problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

•Works alongside an Account Manager or Growth Driver to learn the ChemTreat sales approach

•May perform research to determine new customer opportunities within certain geographic areas.

•Will go on customer sites to learn how to service accounts from a technical perspective.

•Opportunity to influence increase of sales and profit margin within territory

•Establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•Create and present effective proposals to current and prospective customers

•Communicate the ChemTreat value proposition to the customer base

•Troubleshoot technical and site-specific process issues and take corrective actions

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

•Self-motivated with a strategic mindset

•Required ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or equivalent skills

•Background or learning potential

•Relevant background that enables the understanding and/or learning, and gradual expertise, of technical water treatment applications and solutions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

•Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a Business Degree with a sales focus. This position is for rising college Juniors and Seniors.

•Focus on some chemistry or biology in classes with a technical mindset.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

•Travel as required- mileage for work travel will be reimbursed.

•May require long hours & varied work schedules.

•The employee may be required to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time.

•The employee may be required to drive both short and long distances, not to exceed DOT regulations.

•The employee is sometimes required to maneuver drums weighing 250-800 pounds.

•The employee is occasionally required to lift 60 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

•Required to use ear plugs for hearing protection and all required PPE.

•Required to wear personal protective equipment for deliveries and occasionally in extreme heat conditions.

•On and off-road driving, subject to varying road and weather conditions

•Indoor sites include boiler houses

•Outdoor sites can be located at cooling towers, water plants, wastewater plants, and process areas.

•Both indoor and outdoor sites may have high noise levels

•Use of hazardous chemicals is routine

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $14.00 - $18.00 USD per hour.
