DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As Global Product and Process Improvement Manager, Specialty Products, you will define and establish product lifecycle management processes for the specialty products business lines, actively manage the product portfolio, and identify and lead process improvement efforts within product management and the global business lines.

Our specialty products team develops solutions that enhance and safeguard some of the most important surfaces in our daily lives - including eyeglass lens technologies that protect your vision, specialty substrates that help combat fraud in your credentials, advanced organic materials that enable energy-efficient OLED displays and advanced photochromic lenses to protect your eyes from damaging light.

As a Global Product and Process Improvement Manager, you will report to the General Manager, Specialty Products, and work with Specialty Coatings and Materials SBU leadership and other key team members to make it happen. In this pivotal role, you will act globally, across technology and market segments, to support our business strategy.

Key Responsibilities Product Management * Evaluate current product management practice across Specialty Products, understand current roles, responsibilities and gaps related to product management processes and define desired "to be" status from a process, roles & responsibilities, and organizational capabilities perspective. * Develop change implementation plan to enable the optimization of product management and portfolio life cycle management capabilities and role clarity. * Lead and develop best in class Product Manager team (once established) as a player coach while also acting as Product Manager for one of the product lines. * Team with our Strategic Market Managers to convert customer and market needs into product strategies; define detailed requirements and develop prototypes. * Drive execution of the product strategies through the commercial organization to increase market share, optimize margin profile and/or improve our position with customers to drive organic growth * Collaborate with commercial, technical, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and other functional business team members as necessary to efficiently deliver products to the market and our customers. * Develop pricing and positioning strategies to ensure BSR growth and profit targets are met. * Coordinate product launches and build awareness and understanding of the product portfolio. * Manage full lifecycle of product portfolio, including Compass process management, and drive complexity reduction efforts for specialty products portfolio.

Process Improvement * Provide an objective assessment of specialty products business processes, recommend areas of improvement or refinement of all aspects of the business lines, and drive execution of these. * Focus on making business processes smarter and more robust; develop processes and procedures that clearly map ownership and accountability for core specialty products business lines. * Determine how technology improvements and automation can drive process efficiency and build business cases for implementation.

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree with 15-years relevant experience. * Proven work experience in product management and process improvement. * Track record of managing successful products throughout their lifecycle. * Strong problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities. * Effective project management skills are essential for this role. * Capability of persuading across different levels and organizations. * Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
