Humana Clinical Strategy Advancement Advisor in Montgomery, Alabama

  • The Clinical Strategy Advancement Advisor builds strategies for clinical strategy development, engagement, best clinical practices, and processes for clinical community within the enterprise. The Clinical Strategy Advancement Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. The Clinical Strategy Practice Lead is a clinical voice for the strategic focused team, drawing upon clinical knowledge, and experience to raise awareness of clinical implications for strategic initiatives. The individual provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. This individual will be asked frequently to pivot to support various projects as they arise.

The Clinical Strategy Advancement Advisor contributes to the strategic initiatives within onehome, assets within Home Solutions, and across the Humana enterprise drawing upon their clinical knowledge and experience with clinical operations. The ideal candidate exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

  • Portfolio management - Assisting the leadership team to help ensure strategic alignment across the diverse set of clinical and operational teams, both within and external to the Home Solutions Strategy/ onehome division of the organization. Create structure to assist in properly prioritizing initiatives/projects that align with strategic objectives. Compile cross-team initiatives or ad hoc reporting exercises for MORs, SVP leaderships, Humana Integrated Health Team, and onehome Home Solutions Strategy team.

  • Monitoring and evaluating initiative progress - Work with team leadership to define, align and track success metrics. Identify gaps and make recommendations for improvement. Establish, operate, and improve the systems that capture, track, and regularly report on work in flight, especially strategic or other cross-functional initiatives, to ensure situational awareness at all levels. Presenting recommendations to mitigate risks and resolves conflicts.

  • Day-to-day leadership support - In addition to strategic and longer-term planning support, assist with day-to-day support in topics such as clinical operations, clinical innovation and strategy, team huddles and follow-ups, clinical program expansion planning and support, cross asset clinical support, and preparing for monthly and quarterly leadership presentations and report outs.

  • Across Humana asset work - works on a wide range of projects to support the clinical operations and innovation initiatives within the Onehome/Home Solution team as well as in partnership across Humana assets such as Centerwell Home Health or Centerwell Primary Care Organization.

Required Qualifications

  • a Bachelor's degree

  • 8 or more years of technical experience

  • 2 or more years of project leadership experience

  • 3 or more years of project progressive scope and/or leadership experience with high level of motivation and other relevant experience, preferably in the healthcare sector

  • Executive communications experience both written and verbal

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams

  • Ability to present to multi-level leadership

  • Strong business and strategy acumen 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel 

  • Comfortable working independently and communicating through multiple levels in the organization

  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment; be nimble and adaptable, handle ambiguity

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong preference for Clinical degree/certification LPN, RN, APRN, PT, OT, MSW

  • Background in Post Acute Servcies (Home Health, Skilled Nursing Facility) Operations

  • Experience with Post Acute Care Services network management and/or utilization management

  • Experience with Post Acute Care Provider relationship management

Additional Information

Position is fully remote. Occasional travel for team onsite required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$112,400 - $154,900 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
