Our client - a pharmaceutical powerhouse - is seeking a Scientist to join their growing team!

Type: Contract

Pay: $35/hr

Location: Montgomery County, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Set up process equipment for lab-scale experiments, ensuring equipment is calibrated and operating correctly.

  • Prepare laboratory reagents, solutions, and culture media according to established protocols.

  • Conduct lab-scale downstream processing of vaccine process intermediates, including chromatography and filtration techniques.

  • Perform process monitoring assays to assess the quality and yield of biologics.

  • Analyze, collate, track, and report experimental data to client staff members using Excel and other software tools.

  • Maintain accurate records and test results following good laboratory practices (GLP).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Bio/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline.

  • 0-5 years of work experience in a laboratory setting.

  • At least six months of related laboratory experience, preferably performing biologics purification steps.

  • Proficiency with general laboratory skills and experience using pipettes.

  • Experience with tangential flow filtration is preferred.

  • Ability to use formulas and link spreadsheets in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

  • Capacity to learn new techniques, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain accurate records, follow instructions, and adhere to company policies.
