We are currently searching for a Automotive Fleet Mechanic in our Waitsfield, VT, location who can maintain and repair a range of Fleet cars, trucks and plow equipment.

Required:

  • Proficiently and safely maintain and repair Toyota and Ford trucks and plow equipment
  • Actively prioritize safety in compliance with OSHA and FMCSA regulations and Kingsbury policies.
  • Under limited supervision, perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Use vehicle computer diagnostic tools to locate failure codes and assign repairs.
  • Complete required paperwork documenting repairs, parts, and repair times.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and frequently used maintenance items.
  • Possess at least a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
  • Maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Possess the necessary tools to perform work.

Desired:

  • Three years of previous experience maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge, and skills.
  • Hold an air brake and refrigerant certification (can acquire it after employment in specific cases).

  • Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, crawl, work at heights, and maintain balance.
  • Capability to enter the cabs of vehicles or equipment located 3.5 feet or higher off the ground.
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods, reach for, handle, manipulate items, and work in adverse weather conditions (including cold and wet conditions).
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
