Experienced Pump Truck CDL driver

Kingsbury Companies LLC is an award-winning heavy civil and residential construction company that has been supporting the infrastructure needs of New England and New York for over 40 years.

We are searching for an Experienced CDL Driver for our fast-growing wastewater division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Driving and Operating the Truck:

  • Safely driving a septic pump truck weighing over 26,000lbs to and from job sites.
  • Operating the pump and other equipment on the truck.

Inspecting Septic Systems:

  • Checking the septic tank and related components for signs of damage or malfunction.
  • Locating and Identifying the septic system tank and access risers.

Pumping Septic Tanks:

  • Expose tank access with a shovel digging up to 18 to 24 inches
  • Connecting hoses to the septic tank.
  • Operating the pump to remove waste from the septic tank.
  • Backfill soil and material to maintain a clean and undisturbed state
  • Ensuring that all waste is properly contained and transported.

Cleaning and Maintaining Equipment:

  • Cleaning hoses, pumps, and other equipment after each job.
  • Performing routine maintenance on the truck and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.

Disposing of Waste:

  • Transporting waste to an approved disposal site.
  • Following all regulations and guidelines for the safe disposal of septic waste.

Customer Interaction:

  • Communicating with customers to explain the process and address any concerns.
  • Providing recommendations for septic system maintenance.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintaining accurate records of services performed, including details of each job and disposal information.
  • Completing necessary paperwork for regulatory compliance and customer records.

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Ensuring the job site is safe before, during, and after the pumping process.

Problem-Solving:

  • Addressing any issues that arise during the pumping process.
  • Using troubleshooting skills to resolve problems efficiently.

Emergency Response:

  • Responding to emergency calls for septic system failures or backups.
  • Providing prompt and effective service in urgent situations.

Required:

  • Class B and Tanker endorsement
  • Capability to exert heavy physical effort, handling objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of digging soil up to a 24-inch depth with shovel
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, and crawl.
  • Tolerance for working a physically demanding job
  • Capacity to maintain balance.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods, even in extreme weather conditions (cold and wet).
  • Punctual and reliable attendance in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Safely perform essential job functions in accordance with safety standards.
  • Clean driving record
  • Possess at least a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.

Preferred Experience:

  • Three plus years of experience as a Tanker Driver (Water, Oil, Propane, Septic, Milk) with a Class B or Class A license.
