    About Surgical Services:

  • The Surgical Services Department at Montrose Regional Health is committed to providing quality surgical services and improving the quality of life for our patients. We provide surgical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

    About The Career:

  • The Nurse Manager functions as a leader in the health care team and is responsible for coordination of the health care team in the specialty area of same day surgery, PACU, pain clinic, pre-op and GI suite for adults and pediatrics. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of both clinical and managerial duties by maintaining a suitable environment for nursing practice and patient care; assisting staff with ethical, legal and patient/family advocacy issues; demonstrating knowledge and clinical expertise and aiding staff to develop the same; and collaborating with the Director of Surgical Services to develop and implement policies, procedures and systems that support the clinical practice of nursing. Holds nursing staff accountable for performing and delivering patient care that is consistent with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values as well as the organization's strategic plan. The Nurse Manager participates in unit performance improvement activities as well as promotes the concept and image of professional nursing practice.

    All About You :

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program with a registered nurse degree and a current Colorado license.

  • BSN preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, preferably working in an acute care setting.

  • Previous management experience preferred.

  • BLS required.
