Skeet Shooting Instructor

Cornerstone Club sits atop the Uncompahgre Plateau 18 miles southwest of Montrose, Colorado. As an award winning 4800-acre development, the development encompasses a private member’s only club which includes a restaurant, an equestrian center, a shooting club, a Greg Norman Designed Golf Course, and more. In addition, Cornerstone Club has an extensive nature preserve, and walking/hiking/biking trails all which pay homage to the region’s rich heritage.

SUMMARY

The Skeet Shooting Instructor is responsible for the operation of the onsite Shooting Club. Duties will include reservations, guest check-ins, detailed course instruction, shooting lessons, maintenance, and above all - safety assurance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the Shooting Club for the club.

  • Duties will include reservations, member and guest check-ins, detailed course instruction, facility cleanliness and maintenance, inventory management, billing and safety briefs.

  • Provide shooting instruction for groups and individuals as needed.

  • Assist to monitor range use during hours of operation.

  • Safety Instruction and reinforcement

  • Review programming and conduct safety inspection tours in areas of responsibility to ensure desired standards of quality, service, cleanliness and controls are maintained.

  • Daily general maintenance of shooting course to include: Sweeping, raking, removing weeds, clearing brush, picking up hulls, etc.

  • secured at the end of each day.

  • Correct hazardous conditions and submit recommendations for long term upgrades and repairs.

  • Assist with the inventory management for weapons and munitions.

  • Responsible for the appearance and safety of the shooting facilities based upon established standards.

  • The ability to develop relationships with members, return guests, group contacts, etc., to provide maximum, personalized guest service

  • Develop a sense of community, familiarity, professionalism, and friendliness for the Shooting Club operations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong guest service background. Ability to provide a high level of service, programming, and instruction for our guests and members.

  • Knowledge of shooting programming and facility management.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including, weekends and holidays.

  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Must adhere to and instruct others on all safety procedures.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Should maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, demeanor, and approach with members, guests and coworkers.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Prior shooting club experience.

  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certified.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Associate will work mainly outdoors. The Associate will be required to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to heavy. While performing job duties, the Associate is required to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop; stand and walk; and remain at post for extended periods of time. The Associate is required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly. The Associate works near moving/ mechanical equipment and parts. The Associate must have visual acuity.
