Summary

The Clinical Applications Specialist will provide elevated level of product knowledge and personal expertise to facilitate sales and marketing of endoscopic devices. Our hands on team maintains a cohesive and supportive environment to encourage success and growth.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Applications Specialist:

  • Be the outgoing EUS and ERCP procedural and technical expert for the USGI Sales Team

  • Assist the prospecting and closing of EUS/EBUS and ERCP sales

  • Driven attitude to increase the region’s dollar pipeline of viable EUS/ERCP deals, and the regions “win percentage” on deals in the pipeline

  • Assist in the growth and retention of key and strategic accounts with a personable and knowledgeable approach

  • Lead the Demos of EUS/EBUS/ERCP products at targeted accounts, providing on-site support and training on procedures and equipment.

  • Develop PENTAX Physician champions and advocates, maintaining relationships and becoming a continued company resource and representative

  • Help train and build clinical confidence of Sales representatives through procedural product expertise and guidance to strengthen the team

  • Maintain the ability to act and react decisively, quickly, and informatively in conjunction with RSD’s, NSD, and other support personnel

  • Assist in education support at trade shows for successful training and strengthening of account relations

Requirements of the Clinical Applications Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science or related field

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Ultrasound Support/Sales required

  • Team player able to work in leading support role/clinical leadership role/negotiation contact point etc.

  • Willing to travel extensively; up to 80% travel

  • ARDMS Certification a plus

  • Knowledge of the medical device industry and familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, procedures, product demonstration and installation

  • Advanced level of anatomical and disease state expertise.

  • Comfortable with the demonstration process and understands how to move customers through the selling process. Able to identify Pain points, enemies, allies, and stall points in all selling situations; (clinically, administratively).

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate and educate physicians, nursing personnel, and sales personnel

  • Advanced role during national trade shows; DDW, ACG, Regional trade shows and large society meetings
