Sharp Electronics Corporation Master Data Analyst in Montvale, New Jersey
Overview
Under the direction of the Manager of Master Data, the SAP Master Data Analyst is responsible for the daily operations of master data maintenance in accordance with the SAP Master Data governance best practices, policies, and procedures for Sharp Electronics Corporation in the Americas. This role involves verifying, entering, and maintaining all Customer Master, Material Master, and Pricing Information. The SAP Master Data Analyst ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of master data within the SAP system, supporting the organization’s operational and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
Verify, enter, and maintain Customer Master, Material Master, and Pricing Information within the SAP system.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of master data across all relevant fields.
Manage, analyze, and update master data records for consolidation, deletion, and enhancement.
Develop, recommend, and implement business process enhancements to improve data quality and governance.
Perform monthly self-assessment JSOX controls to verify data accuracy.
Maintain and manage all aspects of Customer Master Data fields
Assist with new product introductions and ensure proper master data coding conventions.
Communicate pricing, programs, and promotions updates to partners.
Liaise with product management owners to collect data for material master creation, product hierarchies, PIR, Vendor, and pricing.
Assist in production of dealer listings, mailing lists, and other reports as required.
Troubleshoot production issues and make necessary corrections to master data setup.
Ensure the accuracy of customer data in regard to Rep Codes and pricing groups.
Manage EDI tables and functionality, CCR tables, and assignments.
Maintain SAP tables such as product hierarchies, authorization groups, and authorization codes.
Ensure the accuracy of the “Where To Buy” website via ZDLR authorizations.
Manage B2B Portal Authorizations.
Recommend procedures, policies, and workflows to maximize efficiencies within the Master Data Team.
Assist in establishing best practices, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for customer master data maintenance and monitoring.
Train others on best practices and procedures for master data management.
Update and maintain master data records within the SAP system.
Perform mass changes to customer master data.
Authority to approve ATSs and other data-related documents ensuring compliance with established policies.
Qualifications
2-5 years related experience preferred
Understanding of data management principles, data quality, and data governance best practices.
Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
Experience with data migration and data cleansing techniques.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve data-related issues.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Ability to develop and implement data validation and verification processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Experience with data visualization tools and reporting.
Ability to train and support end-users on SAP Master Data processes.
Strong initiative and self-motivation.
Adaptability to changing business needs and environments.
Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is $48,700- 76,200. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
