Jacobs Electrical Engineering Professional Associate in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Work as a part of an international design team, interfacing directly with clients and contractors. Perform power flow calculations, short circuit current and arc flash incident energy calculations, voltage drop calculations, and lighting calculations. Prepare construction documents including specifications and drawings consisting of power, grounding, and lighting models in Revit. 3D Revit models will indicate equipment layouts, conductor conveyance (conduit and cable tray) routings, cable schedules, equipment and cable sizing, panel schedules, tie-in schedules, lighting layouts, circuiting for all end-use loads and equipment schedules. Select cable sizes, overcurrent protective device adjustable trip settings, sizes etc. based on the National Electric Code. Identify power requirements for mechanical, process and manufacturing equipment for projects in existing facilities, he will prepare power gap analysis using excel power BI tools. Perform data analysis, create, and edit "families" in Revit files using Dynamo's node-based visual language. Provide quality assurance and quality control of design. Documents prepared by others under his direction.

Telecommuting is allowed.

TRAVEL: 10% domestic travel to the clients’ site.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or closely related field and 7 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer or related occupation.

In Lieu of the requirements listed above, employer will accept: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or closely related field and 5 years of work

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Navisworks software applications. Expertise/ knowledge of applicable industry electrical codes, and standard practices, including the National Electrical (NEC) and NFPA requirements. Expertise/ knowledge of Medium and Low-voltage power system design. Expertise/ knowledge of conducting comprehensive power distribution system studies and precise calculations utilizing industry-standard software platforms such as Easy Power and AmpCalc.
