Eaton Corporation Offer Manager - Distributed Energy Solutions in Moon Township, Pennsylvania
Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Distributed Energy Solutions (DES) Offer Manager within the Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division. This position can be based in the greater Pittsburgh area, where our Electrical Sector is headquartered, or remotely across the Eastern half of the US. Up to 25% travel will be required.

What you’ll do:
In this role, you will have responsibility for orchestrating the overall go-to-market strategy for Eaton’s DES offerings in North America. To achieve customer outcomes and business objectives, you will collaborate closely with product management professionals across Eaton’s relevant offerings that include battery energy storage, power distribution equipment, power system controls, turnkey project services, engineering studies, and energy management software. You will ensure that Eaton upholds a cohesive approach to developing marketing communications, aligning commercial pursuit strategy, identifying customer needs, bundling solutions, and responding to opportunities across the DES portfolio.
In this role, you will:
• Unify the DES go-to-market and growth strategy in alignment with relevant product line and sales leaders. Ensure the strategy is effectively communicated to stakeholders and provide ongoing updates on performance to plan to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Collaborate and partner with product lines and partners to achieve business objectives while taking advantage of Eaton’s right-to-win.
• Understand the market trends and competitive landscape (direct and adjacent), while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the customer applications and offering requirements.
• Ensure Eaton has a meaningful and growing opportunity pipeline of opportunities across the DES portfolio, with accountability of overall financial objectives including sales and orders.
• Oversee quotation and pricing strategy to ensure offering competitiveness, timeliness and quality of quotation responses, and effectiveness of commercial pursuit strategy.
• Work with Marketing-Communications (MarCom) team to develop sales enablement and promotional assets of bundled solutions.
• Serve as a spokesperson for external thought leadership, key customer/partner interactions, and negotiation of opportunities as needed
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing direct reports
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical marketing, sales, strategic planning, operations or product line management
• Experience and comfort leading in both technical and commercial spaces
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Must reside within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA, or an accessible location within the Eastern or Central time zones in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution
• 5 years of experience in market analysis, product launches, and budget management.
• 5 years of experience in providing sales/field support and customer/industry presentations
• Experience working in the distributed energy resource market such as product technology or segment (utility, government, renewable energy, microgrids, energy storage, electrical vehicles, etc.), competitive landscape, partnerships, and/or deal structures.
• Demonstrated understanding of ProLaunch process
Skills:
• The ideal candidate will be passionate and enthusiastic about microgrid/DERS technology which is vital for the growth of the business
• Ability to synthesize disparate and complex information and simplify into effective presentations and recommendations to facilitate decision making with senior leader
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills required; ability to organize and present the business’ story in a cohesive and marketable way
• Must be able to travel up to 25%, some international travel expected
• Must be highly analytical, critical thinker and comfortable in dealing with ambiguity
• Must be comfortable working in matrix organization to drive collaboration and decision making.
• Must be able to communicate effectively at a variety of different organizational levels
• Excellent quantitative analysis skills, especially developing business opportunity cases
• Ability to collaborate with international businesses, colleagues, partners, & customers

The expected annual salary range for this role is $153749.97 - $225499.96 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
