Job Overview

Chugach is seeking a Subject Matter Expert IV Senior System Engineer to join their Moorestown Team. This position is located in scenic Moorestown, NJ. Candidate's primary role is to provide Technical and Engineering support to the US Coast Guard (USCG) detachment to oversee the development and the deployment of the US Coast Guard's most advance and capable Command and Control System.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Job Functions:
  • Review of technical specifications and related documents to ensure technical accuracy and applicability.
  • Lead the Software and Hardware installations of USCG Command and Control (C2) System's on US Coast Guard Assets and sites.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for software or hardware issues seen in the fleet and laboratories.
  • Maintain team dashboard and structure for organization of all team files and documentation.
  • Evaluate software changes and provided recommendations regarding C4ISR systems delivered to the Coast Guard.
  • Develop troubleshooting guides and workarounds for C4ISR Systems.
  • Solid understanding of Simulation and Stimulation systems.
  • Able to deploy simulation software to drive the systems for integration testing and training purposes.
  • Experience with working with various Operating Systems to include Linux, Windows, VMWare.
  • Conduct specification requirement reviews and perform test data analysis.
  • Maintain and update technical drawings/documentation for different configurations for USCG systems.
  • Very strong organizational, task management, and prioritization skills, along with the ability to display strong sense of urgency
  • Experience with Cyber Security tools, technologies, and processes, such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, ACAS/Nessus and RMF is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job RequirementsMandatory:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences or in a recognized Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience with System Engineering.
  • Experience with the US Coast Guards Sea Commander System.
  • Must be able to work independently when required.
  • U.S. Citizen and have a Secret level DOD Security Clearance.
