CommuniCare Health Services Corporate Central Hospital Referrals Manager in Morgantown, West Virginia

Due to continued growth, CommuniCare Health Services is recruiting a Central Hospital Referrals Manager, RN or LPN Preferred for our West Virginia Central Intake Office. This position works in the office and is not a remote position.

Estimated Pay: $70k/annually

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT

The position of Central Hospital Referral Manager is to be the driver of all referrals for placement to appropriate facility to ultimately continue census growth.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 to 5 years of work/life experience in health care related field.

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse preferred.

  • Critical care, rehabilitation, third party reimbursement, and/or case management experience.

  • Excellent phone and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional Time Management and Organizational Skills

  • Responsible and tremendous follow through

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As Central Hospital Referrals Manager, you will:

  • Review referrals from assigned hospitals and work in tandem with the facility team and the Central Placement Specialists to assess the referral and successfully coordinate the admission.

  • Understand all payer classifications, diagnostic information, and patient care implications.

  • Act according to the nurse practice act or other licensing agency's practice act depending on clinical licensure.

  • Serve as back-up for the Central Placement Specialist and the Central Precert Specialist as needed.
