Description West Virginia University's Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design is seeking applications for a Program Coordinator About the Opportunity The purpose of this position is to provide support for the functioning of the Appalachian Forestry Entrepreneurship Center (AFEC), including support in grant preparation and reporting for proposals associated with the efforts of the Center and the interaction of the Center with individuals and organizations both internal and external to WVU. The position may also provide grant services, including project management and other administrative support to the West Virginia University (WVU) Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design (College) for projects related to the AFEC's mission. This position serves as a resource contact for the Center, and the incumbent must independently use professional concepts, techniques, and organizational policies to solve a wide range of moderate to complex problems in imaginative and practical ways. Demonstration of skills, knowledge, interpretive abilities, and some creativity are required to perform duties successfully. Work effort often addresses non-routine matters within established protocols, guidelines, or policies. Work effort significantly impacts client services and operations, producing moderate to significant organizational, legal, and financial results or liabilities. Position duties may require oversight of projects or programs, including coordinating work by others supporting primary program objectives. Wellness programs What you'll do: Assist with project management, including developing charts and visual aids to track and summarize progress and writing annual reports. Performs data analysis and evaluation on compiled data, protocols, and surveys concerning enacted AFEC programs to enhance the minority student population in STEM disciplines and overall student recruitment and retention. Assist faculty with their responsibilities for completing compliance documents, reporting, and export control issues. Collaborate with center members to include all faculty, PIs, and external sources to review and edit scientific abstracts/presentations, protocols, publications, and grant proposals.
