Hybrid Schedule (2 days in office, 3 days remote) - Morgantown, WV Day Shift, Monday-Friday

Performs a wide range of professional accounting functions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to support the month-end financial statement process of WVUH. Completes documentation and schedules during month-end, budget preparation, and external audit. Provides financial guidance to department managers to help control costs and provide organization-wide efficiencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. B.S. degree with a major or concentration in Accounting or Finance. EXPERIENCE: 1. Threeyears of accountingexperience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. CPApreferred. EXPERIENCE: 1. Hospitalorhealthcare experiencepreferred.

1.DevelopstrongrelationshipwithDepartmentmanagerstohelpcoordinateandmonitorfinancialcontrolsovertheorganization's costcentersaccordingtoapprovedbudgetguidelines. 2.Coordinateaccountingandfinancialprocessestomaximizeefficiencyinthedailyaccountingoperations.Ensurethatinternal controlmeasuresarebeingfollowed. 3.Maintaingeneralledgerinordertocompleteandsubmitaccuratefinancialdataduringmonth-endprocessaccordingto predetermineddeadlines. 4. Lead and coordinate month end variance analysis. 5. Oversee and review month end general ledger reconciliations. 6. Directlysupervisetheworkanddevelopmentofassigned Accounting Department staff. 7.Coordinateotherstaffdutiestoaccomplishdepartmentgoalsandobjectives.Delegateprojects/dutiesasnecessary. 8.Developandsubmitanalyticalfinancialdataasneededbydepartmentdirector/manager. 9.Assistincompletingandcompilingfinancialsupportdocumentationforbudgetandexternalauditpurposes. 10.Assistincoordinationofthebudgetandexternalauditreview. 11.Trainnewpersonnelandmonitortheirprogress. 12.Participateineducationalopportunitiesasprovidedbythehospitaltoenhanceskillrelatedabilities. 13.Completeotherdutiesasassignedbymanager. 14.Supportperformanceimprovementandqualityassuranceinitiatives. 15.Ensuredutiesofspecialtyfocusarecompletedaccuratelyandtimely(i.e.,monthlyfinancialstatements,consolidatedfinancial statements,bonds,cashflowprojections,etc.) 16. Oversee functions of assigned Accounting Department staff.
