Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Morristown, New Jersey

Description Robert Half currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. Based out of the Morristown, New Jersey area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

  • Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

  • Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

  • Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

  • Perform special projects as assigned

  • Produce full-cycle A/P

  • Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

  • Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

  • Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis Requirements - Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • General familiarity with Adjustments

  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Good understanding of Invoice Entry

  • Practical knowledge of Onsite

  • Skills in Lawson

  • Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Office Suites

  • Comprehension of Microsoft Dynamics CRM

  • Experience with EO/IR systems

  • Solid understanding of Policy

  • Wide ranging experience with dynamics

  • Experience with implementation

  • About Time experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Review

  • Previous experience working with offsite

  • Proven knowledge of time management

  • Quality experience with ERP Solutions

  • Earlier work involving Overtime

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Spreadsheet and database capabilities
