Overview
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
The Product Owner III- Risk Grading is a role within Credit Systems team in the Credit Administration organization, responsible for the Risk Rating/Grading solution. The person in this role is responsible for enhancements and building technology infrastructure to enable an enterprise-wide Risk rating service. This position supports and executes product initiatives within the Bank and is responsible for driving positive change through technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Acts as an interface between the credit business stakeholders, credit risk modelling and cross-functional delivery teams. Provides subject matter expert consultation to team members and other stakeholders on tactics to achieve product goals.
Responsibilities
* Product Strategy - Collaborate with business stakeholders to align on product vision, strategy, priority, scope, and roadmap for the risk rating technical implementation.
* Product & Backlog Management - Develop a prioritization framework and strategy for delivery initiatives. Prepare/refine product backlog and roadmap and work with the cross-functional teams to execute the product backlog. Plan and create initiatives, features, epics, and stories in JIRA.
* Requirements: Define end-to-end solution requirements and collaborate with other system product owners to coordinate implementation and ensure consistency in the risk rating implementation across the bank.
* Collaboration & Communication - Provide regular status reports to the leadership and stakeholders. Conduct and participate in sprint ceremonies (daily standup, sprint planning, retrospective, sprint review, demo, scrum of scrums etc.) Partner with Data, Technology and Model development team to implement the product solutions.
* Reporting & Metrics - Assist in the definition, implementation and monitoring of OKRs and ensure ongoing strategic alignment with short and long-term business objectives.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Product Management, Scrum, Agile OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Product Management, Scrum, Agile
- Proven knowledge and robust understanding of credit risk rating
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong technical skills with a business acumen and ability to work across the organization to develop solutions to complex problems
* Knowledge of design thinking principles to define solutions with a strong focus on user experience
* Familiarity with credit risk modelling and analytics and experience defining data requirements for models.
* Strong knowledge of financial principles and regulatory and compliance agencies/issues related to the banking industry
* Very good understanding of software delivery lifecycle with focus on requirement management and system analysis
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent work experience; Master's preferred
* 10 or more years of analysis experience
If hired in CA the base pay for this position is generally between $132,600.00 and $179,400.00. If hired in AZ the base pay for this position is generally between $121,550.00 and $164,450.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
