Valley National Bank SAP Report Designer - Finance in Morristown, New Jersey
The SAP Report Designer in Finance is responsible for designing, developing and testing SAC/AO report and dashboards, creating and maintaining data models for various reporting requirements and integrating data from multiple sources into SAP Analytics Cloud, and creating meaningful data visualizations that facilitate effective analysis and decision-making.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with functional / business teams to understand the requirements and develop interactive reports using SAP Analytics Cloud, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
- Create and maintain data models that support various reporting requirements and integrate data from multiple sources into SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Develop clear and meaningful data visualizations that facilitate effective analysis and decision-making.
- Carry out data reconciliation activities with ease and accuracy.
- Recommend best practices and analysis for Microsoft office applications considering the overall architecture to achieve tools integration, high performance, and stability.
- Build the required reports & dashboards to support the business requirements.
- Train FP&A team on report development and enhancements.
- Ensure data integrity and quality in the reports by validating and verifying data sources, transformations, and calculations and participating in master data harmonization activities.
- Create and maintain design and technical documents for required configurations of Embedded Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud and Analysis for Microsoft Office solutions per the blueprint, and to ensure clarity for future references.
- Liaise with Accounting and Data Analysis to ensure alignment with reported results.
- Continued engagement with SAP to understand enhancements to SAC/AO.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workflow.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgets, reports, statements and KPIs.
- Proven experience in designing and writing reports using SAP Analytics Cloud, AO, demonstrated by the:
- ability to understand SAP Analytics Cloud dashboarding and reporting requirements and convert functional requirements into technical design and build components.
- ability to produce professional dashboards, charting, and linking with the SAC Analyses for Office, whilst understanding BW data models.
- review and update SAP HANA models and SAC reporting.
- Relationship-building skills and confidence to seek answers within teams, business units, and large organizations.
- Ability to work independently, quickly, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete tasks under multiple deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with data security design and configuration.
- Experience with S/4HANA on cloud and Core Finance modules (GL, CO, GR, AP, FA, CM and MM), Sub Ledger (FPSL) and SAC Planning and BI.
- Ability to optimize and troubleshoot the performance of SAP Analytics Cloud dashboards.
- Knowledge of SQL scripting, data modeling and data visualization techniques.
- Adept at interpreting complex data and translating it into clear, actionable insights.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems or relevant field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with SAP.
Preferred Experience:
- Master's Degree, Financial Services or Banking experience.
- Certification in one or more SAP programs.
