We have a position in our Finance department as an Accountant that could just be the home you are looking for!

The Accountant will support finance and accounting for the Morristown, TN facility. Perform month-end close activities, analyze and interpret numerical data and financial analysis, and prepare accurate reports within the established guidelines to support management in the decision-making process. Prepare journal entries at period end in a timely fashion, as well as maintaining accuracy and completeness.Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts to maintains that controls are effective in maintaining financial statement assertions.Solve accounting problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of finance, and understand Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP). Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field

  • 1+ years of experience in general ledger accounting

  • Thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Demonstrated oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills

  • Demonstrated computer and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information

  • General ledger accounting system experience

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks in a changing environment

  • Self-motivated with ability to work under and meet strict deadlines individually as well as in a team environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of internal control environment

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to work flexible hours as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience

-AS400/Foodstar as plus

-SAP software or accounting software experience

  • Be aware of SOX requirements and maintain compliance with key controls related to accounting duties

-Experience with Power BI, or have working knowledge with how to generate reports with dataset tools.

-Experience with using accounting software fir journal entries and reconciliations, such as BlackLine
