Affordable Care Manager, Special Project in Morrisville, North Carolina

Overview

The Manager, Special Project is responsible for developing and overseeing the training and workflow management of Special Projects and Initiatives within the organization including but not limited to, the conversion of any Practice Management System (PMS) in the Affordable Care Network, SWAT, Onboarding and Office Manager Trainings. The Manager, Special Project will also be responsible for the management, training and development of the Special Project Trainers. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all Special Projects and Initiatives are executed efficiently across the organization. This position is responsible for the dissemination of information, workflow changes regarding initiative and project subject matter, upgrades and updates to the Dentrix Enterprise PMS to others on the Affordable Care Learning and Development team and/or affiliated practices. This includes but is not limited to email communications, providing subject matter for Job Aids to the Instructional Designer, and developing and hosting training courses. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Training and Development and partners with Practice Owners and their team, Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology and other departments to accomplish these goals.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, direct and evaluate trainings and projects initiated by Special Project Trainers

  • Ability to continually motivate, coach and develop team members with integrity and professionalism

  • Support team members’ professional development by providing opportunities for training and growth

  • Highly skilled communicator that can flex leadership and communication style dependent on the audience

  • Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective training processes for team members to model in the field

  • Conduct and oversee Special Projects, including but not limited to, Practice Management Conversions, SWAT, Office Manager Trainings, other special projects and initiatives as determined by the business needs of the organization

  • Possesses high emotional intelligence and strong self-awareness to manage different personas and characters

  • Possesses effective time-management skills and are self-accountable to delivering results

  • Possesses strong working knowledge of all ACI’s practice management systems, insurance processes and clinical systems and processes

  • Identify all aspects of workflow and culture within a practice identified to convert PMS

  • Identify desires and needs of the stakeholders

  • Develop a training plan and/or practice schedule based on the individual needs of the trainee or practice and partner with the necessary departments to coordinate support

  • Maintain ongoing communication with Trainees, Office Managers and Doctors to identify additional needs. Communicate those needs to the Sr. Director of Training Development to provide continued support for the practice

  • Maintain ongoing communication with practices as they get comfortable in the new PMS. Communicate those needs to the Sr. Director of Training and Development to provide continued support for the practice

  • Reassess after each training and conversion to mitigate foreseeable issues in the future

  • Continually monitor opportunities disseminate new information to Special Project Trainers, Instructional Designer and Operations as needed. Including but not limited to, updates and upgrades in

  • Dentrix Enterprise, Special Project or Initiative rollouts

  • Participate in Change Control meetings with upper management and Compliance to continually develop and support the ACI network of practices

  • Acts as a positive and effective liaison between Trainees, Practices and other departments within the Affordable Care Network to champion corporate initiatives

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel monthly to any one of our affiliated dental practices for multiple consecutive days as needed or determined by the needs of the business

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Extensive experience with Dentrix Practice Management Software

  • Excellent professional, interpersonal, and customer service skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills

  • Excellent organization, planning, judgment, and time management skills

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience. BS/BA degree preferred

  • 2+ years of Direct Supervisory or Management experience

  • 5+ years of Dental Field Experience

  • 5+ years of Training experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and Advanced PowerPoint
