rrPosition Summary:
rThe Chief Finance Officer is responsible for the University of Idaho Foundation\'s financial, accounting, and treasury operations. As a member of the Foundation senior leadership team, the position develops and implements fiscal management and reporting strategies to enable the organization to achieve its vision and mission. The position works closely with the Foundation\'s Investment Committee to provide timely reporting and implement key decisions around the endowment, in coordination with the Foundation\'s investment managers and consultant.
Duties include:
- Formulate financial policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with Board of Directors\' policies, state and federal fiscal management laws and regulations, and generally accepted accounting standards
- Direct and coordinate financial statement preparations, tax return filings and disbursements of funds
- Report current financial status to the Executive Director/CEO, Board of Directors, Operating, Audit, and Investment Committees
- Prepare and monitor annual operating budgets
- Manage banking and investment consultant relationships
- Oversee the financial management of Foundation assets
- Other duties as assigned
rrMinimum Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Marketing OR a Masters Degree in Accounting
{=html} <!-- --> - Seven years of progressive accounting or financial management experience including leadership of finance/accounting teams - Four years of investment accounting experience including assessing and managing business risk
rrPreferred Qualifications:

- Masters degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Business Administration or Data Analytics
- Two years in a senior financial management role for a complex organization
- Two years managing and assessing financial and business risk, including contract negotiation
- Experience facilitating financial system, process and/or procedural changes
- Experience interfacing with senior management, staff, a board of directors, and various external constituents and partners to develop, model, and implement creative financial management strategies
