Engineer 4, Product Development EngineeringProvide technical leadership to a team responsible for internal and external design projects, using Graphical User Interfaces (GUI), Webservices, and APIs; administer Linux and Unix systems; develop applications for Software Defined Networks; analyze traces using Wireshark; work with DHCP flow, TCP-UDP protocols, CPE-IPv4/6 and IS-IS; develop software using Python; work with Behave Framework; work with device modem architecture, CMTS, and modem provisioning; work with test management tools, including ALM Octane and TestRail; work with project management tools, including Rally, JIRA, and Confluence; perform monitoring and analysis using BI-Tools including Prometheus and Grafana, and Tableau; work with message-brokering services, including RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Kinesis; work within databases, including Cassandra, MySQL, and PostgreSQL; use high-end server traffic generators including iixia and /T-rex; use DDoS and /Firewalls; write scripts using XML, JSON, Java, Perl, and UNIX; use Splunk, Kubernetes, Dockerization, and microservices; work with Agile framework, including Scrum; review and verify requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product testability and verification; guide junior talent in terms of explaining the feature requirements and resolve any technical difficulties the team may face; unblock the team, enabling them to complete their tasks; create and document test plans; provide high level LOEs for features; develop and plan stories for the sprint; plan and forecast upcoming work items; participate in the testing and certification process; execute and manage test cases and results; report on test and defect metrics; execute automated functional, integration and regression test cases; log, track and verify the resolution of defects; collaborate with other QE engineers to drive automation and CI/CD tools and framework, including Concourse; perform functional reviews of automation code; produce documentation/metrics with goal of reducing test intervals and improving quality; work with Operations on production needs and help support the application in production; provide support for debugging/support and release management; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.*REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience testing Graphical User Interfaces (GUI), Webservices, and APIs; administering Linux and Unix systems; developing applications for Software Defined Networks; analyzing traces using Wireshark; working within databases including Cassandra, MySQL, and Postgres; working with DHCP flow, TCP-UDP protocols, CPE-IPv4/6 and IS-IS; of which three (3) years include developing software using Python; working with Behave Framework; working with device modem architecture, CMTS, and modem provisioning; using ALM Octane for test management; using Rally and JIRA for project management; using Concourse for CI/CD; performing monitoring and analysis using Prometheus and Grafana; using Kafka and Kinesis; using iixia and T-rex; using DDoS and Firewalls; of which one (1) year of experience includes using Splunk, Kubernetes, Dockerization, and microservices.PLEASE SEND RESUMES TO JOB_CANDIDATES@COMCAST.COM AND REFERENCE JOB ID # 4200 WHEN APPLYING FOR THIS POSITION.
