Robert Half Medical Data Entry Clerk in Mount Pleasant, Michigan

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Data Entry Clerk. The role is based in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and is within the healthcare industry. The primary function of the role is to ensure accurate and efficient management of patient medical records and to facilitate effective communication with various departments.

Responsibilities:

• Collection, tracking, and reconciliation of patient medical record information post-discharge.

• Utilize facility guidelines to prepare, assemble, scan, index, and file records for document storage and/or imaging.

• Analyze patient charts for physician deficiencies according to facility guidelines/bylaws.

• Assist with physician chart completion and suspension processes by validating chart deficiencies and communicating with Providers regarding their incomplete records.

• Access EMR (electronic medical records) system to support record completion, coding, release of information and overall management and maintenance of the legal health record.

• Perform data collection and submission of information for birth certificate filing.

• Respond to requests for general and medical record information received via phone, e-mail, fax, or in person.

• Retrieve records as per request for patient care, studies, committees, and other requests and work with other departments as needed.

• Assist with distribution of reports, letters, and statistics related to delinquent medical records.

• Use CRM and Cerner Technologies to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field

• Proficiency in using Cerner Technologies is required

• Experience with CRM systems is essential

• Familiarity with Billing Functions in a medical setting

• Experience in Claim Administration is necessary

• Proficiency in using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) is a must

• Knowledge of Medical Records management is required
