Industrial Athletic Trainer, AT ProgressiveHealth, LLC Mt. Vernon, IL

• Schedule: Monday Friday 5am-1pm
• \$2,000 SIGN-ON/RETENTION BONUS!

We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Industrial Athletic Trainer to provide injury prevention services onsite for a local manufacturing facility in Mt. Vernon, IL. We strive to increase the industrial athletes ability to perform their job duties safely and decrease the risk of injury through intervention at the early onset of discomfort in a dynamic work environment. This position will strategically support employees by providing ergonomic training, education, and coaching. What will you be doing in this role?

• Providing proactive injury prevention, injury care, assessment, and medical triage as defined by OSHA standards, including ergonomic postural education and/or escalation of medical care if needed
• Providing ergonomic support by understanding the site operations, job processes, and physical demands to make ergonomic recommendations to prevent more serious musculoskeletal conditions from occurring
• Coordinating and implementing rehabilitation treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary
• Fitness & Wellness management and education
• Monitor and maintain on-site Fitness Center
• Keeping accurate, detailed documentation with efficiency while being able to provide feedback to the industrial athlete and client for continuous health improvements
• Understanding and providing reports with key metrics to leadership, client partners, and operations management

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelors degree in Athletic Training
• The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
• CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
• Basic knowledge of workers compensation and OSHA regulations, preferred
• The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
• Ergonomic and/or occupational health experience
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
• Be able to maintain confidentiality
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
