Vernon, IL location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented PLant 1 PLT 100% Visual Inspector to join our group. THE POSITION

PLant 1 PLT 100% Visual Inspector

The Visual Inspector will be responsible for inspecting tires from the curing presses, verifying each tire is free of basic anomalies, making small repairs or corrections to tires, and directing the tires to the correct palletizing conveyor.

  1. Receive and inspect, through the sense of sight, the outside of all white sidewall tires to determine acceptability in accordance with company standards of Quality

  2. PLT Final Finish Inspector will follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, follow plant Safety policies, Plant policies, Environmental policies, and keep work areas neat, clean, and orderly.

  3. Employee will log into system, then pass tires (both acceptable and irregular) into their next process, maintaining an even flow of production. Notify supervisor immediately when a major breakdown occurs

  4. Be able to do understand the operation and do minor resets associated with the white sidewall protective paint application process.

  5. Perform assigned jobs in a safe manner, keeping the work area clean and orderly.

  6. Cooperate and communicate with supervisors by reporting all pertinent information and problems.

  7. Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor and or Department Manager.

  8. Perform minor rework of sidewall dust or unpainted tires

  9. Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Continental is not able to offer visa support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years or more of Manufacturing Experience
