Annual Giving Manager/Director of Development
* POSITION MISSION / PURPOSE: *Management and day to day oversight of planning, organizing, and directing The Ohio Eastern Star Home's fundraising activities to achieve annual giving goals. The employee will coordinate resources, plan details, and segment audiences to promote awareness of, and inspire support for, the mission of The Ohio Eastern Star Home. Develops a portfolio of existing and potential donors and a strategy to enhance and extend relationships to generate philanthropic revenue.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities : include the following, Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to travel and attend events as needed.
Proficient in the Principles and Techniques of Fundraising including an understanding of the Fundraising Pyramid model, with an emphasis on the cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation process.
Comprehensive knowledge of Blackbaud; Raiser's Edge NXT, Target Analytics, and Research Point.
Utilize tools and resources including Target Analytics, Raisers Edge NXT, Grand View, and other resources necessary to achieve foundation goals.
Actively engages in donor mapping & research.
promotes awareness and the impacts the organization provides.
Provide excellent and timely customer service.
Collaborate with leaders and the team to implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to support annual operations, build the endowment, and achieve specific individual and team revenue goals.
Craft presentations, speeches, event scripts, and other writings for senior level leadership as appropriate.
10.Play a key role in helping to build a community of engaged supporters of OMC and its affiliates through face-to-face solicitation and various appeals.
11.Increase the number of renewal and acquisition donors through social media.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, finance, or equivalent experience.

``` - Minimum of three years of experience in development/fundraising field strongly preferred.

``` - Proven track-record in successful solicitation of gifts CFRE preferred.

``` - Knowledge of annual giving, capital-campaign, foundation/corporate solicitations,
communications, special-events, and donor base management.
- Self-starter, able to work under pressure of many priorities and deadlines.
