Requisition Summary The PACCAR Global Engine team is looking for a driven Engine Verification Engineer with a specific focus on heavy-duty vehicle testing for the North American PACCAR diesel engine families. The selected individual will work closely with the global engine and quality compliance engineers for delivering the best performing emissions and OBD compliant engines for North America. Job Functions / Responsibilities Testing the transparency of current product and development engine software releases in an engine test lab environment Creating a vehicle verification test plan and testing to ensure proper verification of various engine functions Organizes, coordinates, performs, and generates reports from vehicle testing activities Work with domain owners to enhance the quality and accuracy of compliance documentation Create and evaluate process documents to ensure alignment between working teams Stays current with EPA and CARB regulations, and communicates them to the Global Engine Verification Stays current on software functionality and product requirements for the PACCAR engine families Maintains positive working relationships with other groups and PACCAR divisions Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the automotive industry Sound knowledge of diesel engines and their emission reduction strategies Understanding of EPA and CARB heavy duty diesel emissions and greenhouse gas regulations Sound knowledge of OBD regulatory requirements Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to travel up to 15% Education BS in appropriate technical field required, MS degree in technical field preferred Paccar Benefits As a U.S. PACCAR employee, you have a full range of benefit options including: Competitive salary and 401k with up to a 5% company match Fully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirement Comprehensive paid time off - Minimum of 10 paid vacation days, 12 paid holidays, and sick leave Tuition reimbursement for continued education Medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) Paid short-and long-term disability program Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance EAP services including wellness plans, estate planning, financial counseling and more Additional Job Board Information At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development.
