Requisition Summary We are looking for a BEV Charging Integration Lead within the Powertrain Software and Development team. Specific focus will be leading the development, calibration and in-vehicle verification of Battery Electric Vehicle Charging Systems. The selected individual will work in a global, cross-divisional, and innovative team to develop and calibrate "Best in Class" vehicle functions for North America. Job Functions / Responsibilities Leads BEV Charging System Integration activities involving vehicle, embedded and supplier software packages, EVSE, and grid for North American BEV Vehicles Successfully develops and executes Calibration & System Integration plans for the BEV programs, including timing, quality, and budget Provides technical feedback on current system performance and proposed product changes Supports embedded engineering group with new product requirements definition and software prototyping initiatives Maintains living documents tracking SW release and test results with international teams and suppliers Develops and tracks defect resolution strategies, root cause analysis and debug strategies for complicated interdependent systems Aligns SW release packages with HW sample versions for timing of build events Works with internal teams and suppliers to promote adhesion to PACCAR SW requirements Takes ownership of Vehicle Systems Integration, System Test, and Development for all Functions of Charging Cooperates and innovates with Vehicle System Integration team members Coordinates testing activities and effectively communicates results with internal teams and suppliers Fosters and educates an in-depth functional understanding of all Charging Sub Systems Drives for excellent quality in vehicle charging system interaction and performance Summarizes technical issues and communicates project status effectively to all levels of management Tracks and links defects in PACCAR system(s) to Supplier Software tracking Stays current on industry trends and system development processes Qualifications BS in appropriate technical field required. 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred Excellent Knowledge of BEV technology, vehicle applications, and standards Knowledge of automotive communication protocols: J1939, UDS, XCP, Ethernet, CAN-bus, LIN-bus Knowledge of charging communication protocols: ISO 15118, DIN, OCPP Hands-On technical vehicle experience Experience coordinating technical work within and between organizations Knowledge of Electric Vehicle Technologies and customer usage patterns Strong interpersonal and communication skills Self-directed and have demonstrated high levels of resourcefuln
