Intuit Elite Payroll Onboarding Associate in Mountain View, California

We are looking for outgoing, upbeat, optimistic and detail oriented Elite Payroll Onboarding Associates with payroll expertise to learn QuickBooks Payroll inside and out, and to help our Elite Payroll customers set up and use Intuit’s payroll service.

This is a SelectTime position. SelectTime Employees work a flexible schedule, generally at least 20 hours and up to 40 hours per week. For this specific role, the preferred schedule is 30 to 40 hours per week during our hours of operation, Monday-Friday 5:45 AM-5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.

What you'll bring

  • In depth payroll experience / Certified Professional Payroll (CPP) is an advantage

  • 2+ years accounting, bookkeeping, financial or technical support experience with an emphasis on providing excellent service is highly desired

  • Excellent verbal, written business communication skills to inspire customer confidence via phone and messaging

  • Strong computer and typing skills; comfort with web-based and desktop applications

  • Ability to learn Intuit products, techniques and processes quickly in a training environment and ability to transfer learning to work environment

  • Passion for creative problem-solving

  • Savvy time manager and multi-tasker with ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines within a high volume and fast paced environment

  • Knack for listening to and empathizing with customers to build strong, meaningful relationships

  • Superior analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to determine from a complex set of variables how to resolve payroll issues

  • QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop experience highly desired

  • Desire to learn and understand the small business ecosystem and payroll

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree is preferred with accounting or computer background

How you will lead

  • Provide awesome customer service at all times while assisting customers with their Elite Payroll setup, either by scheduled appointments, messaging, or back office data entry

  • Manage a pipeline of multiple new accounts and ensure long-term customer success from the beginning of their product purchase through onboarding and running first payroll

  • Proactively communicate with customers and follow through with requests, feedback and questions via scheduled appointment and messaging

  • Use mathematical problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques to get to the root of complex payroll issues and/or product questions

  • Maintain clear and thorough notes for each customer engagement

  • Educate customers on key features of their Elite Payroll Subscription and other Intuit products & services that can support their business needs and goals

  • Participate in Continual Improvement activities aimed to positively impact the customer and expert experience

  • Collaborate closely with other stakeholders (e.g. Sales, cross-functional teams, and external partners) to drive business results and solve customer payroll or accounting needs
