Planate Management Group LLC FF&E Drafting Technician (Palo Alto, CA) in Mountain View, California

As an FF&E Drafting Technician, you will collaborate with interior designers and equipment planners to develop and maintain FF&E documentation, while ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Interior Designers & Medical Equipment Planners regarding FF&E drawing documentation standards.

  • Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings to meet established standards and guidelines.

  • Conduct site survey, obtain existing AutoCAD & Revit FF&E files and develop the As-Built drawings.

  • Develop & manage the AutoCAD & Revit FF&E library. Organize and maintain a systematic filing system for FF&E drawings, ensuring easy retrieval and reference.

  • Assist VA with Vlogic in the creation and maintenance of a digital As-Built database for drawings and related documents.

  • Provide regular updates on the progress of drafting FF&E projects and report any concerns or modifications promptly

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting and CAD/BIM file management for interior design or architecture projects, with a focus on healthcare, commercial, or industrial buildings.

  • Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit Architectural Design and AutoCAD for Design and Drafting preferred.

  • Ability to perform drafting skills in Revit, as evidenced by competency in the following domains outlined by Autodesk (or industry equivalent) certification programs, i.e. modeling, display, documentation, collaboration and coordination, project standards and settings, information analysis.

  • Ability to perform drafting skills in AUTOCAD, as evidenced by competency in the following domains outlined by Autodesk (or industry equivalent) certification programs, i.e. Application and drawing management, Design annotation and detailing, Author and edit drawing content, Configure and manage design output, Collaboration.

  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Ability to interpret Architectural/Interior Design/ Engineering plans, specifications, and terminology.

  • Ability to review drawings for completeness and accuracy.

  • Ability to obtain and assemble data to complete FF&E drawing documents, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage complex drafting projects independently.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders, and produce technical reports.

  • CAD and Revit work samples are required for review.

  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
