Intuit Manager 2, Software Engineering (MarTech Product Area) in Mountain View, California

This role will play a pivotal part in leading and developing a team of software engineers to deliver cutting-edge marketing technology solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and grow a scrum team of experienced software engineers working on our Marketing Technology Platform. In this role, you will oversee the team's technical direction, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and drive the implementation of scalable solutions that integrate various MarTech, Intuit, and vendor technologies to solve business needs.

Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace, giving employees the opportunity to collaborate in person with team members in our Mountain View, CA office two or more days per week.

What you'll bring

At a Minimum We'd Like You To Have:

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a management role

  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in building scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systems

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and growing engineering teams

  • Experience in setting technical vision and strategy aligned with business goals

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

It's Preferred If You Have One Or More Of:

  • Experience driving collaboration across organizational boundaries, building multi-dimensional relationships, and importing and exporting ideas to achieve broad organizational goals

  • Knowledge of AI and ML, with a strategic and innovative mindset to enable AI and GenAI into platform capabilities

  • Prior experience with Marketing technologies

  • Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

  • Track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent

How you will lead

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring high performance

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define technology strategy and architecture for key marketing capabilities

  • Oversee the evaluation of vendors and make build vs. buy decisions in partnership with Product Managers

  • Drive the team towards adopting best practices in software development, testing, and deployment

  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and high-quality product releases

  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication to drive organizational goals

  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team

  • Participate in hiring and retention efforts to build and maintain a strong engineering team

  • Provide regular performance feedback and career development guidance to team members

  • Represent the engineering team in leadership meetings and contribute to broader organizational strategies
