Google Product Manager I, Platform and Ecosystem Developer Operations in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.

  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering, with experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.

  • Experience with direct product management of developer focused tools or technology, including engineering user interfaces.

  • Knowledge of, or continued interest in building accessibility best practices, and experience/curiosity for incorporating inclusion and accessibility into product development methodologies.

  • Familiarity with open source source code management tools, Google’s developer toolset and ecosystem, or both

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As a Product Manager, you will own the strategy and execution of the Android and Chrome developer workflows and make Android and Chrome development fast, easy, and reliable. Partnering with executive Engineering leads, Product Managers, and critical stakeholders across Android, Chrome, and Core, you will own and build a roadmap to delight our developers through improved workflows and increase developer productivity. You will engage with teams across Android and Chrome technology stacks and weighing investments based on business and user needs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Support PRDs by collaborating with partner teams (e.g., engineers, Program Managers, UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements.

  • Define product roadmaps by operationalizing defined strategy.

  • Work directly with software developers and our users across multiple engineering teams in Android, Chrome Browser, OS to understand developer requirements, while collaborating with partners to develop extensible solutions.

  • Identify high impact opportunities and define product strategy and roadmap, both short-term and long-term, for developer products and tools and navigate continued complex evolution of our infrastructure ecosystem.

  • Partner with Engineering, Technical Program Management, UX, and cross-functional teams to build, launch, and land products, systems, and tools. Drive adoption to deliver end-user impact.
