Google Product Manager, Pixel Retention Tools in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

  • Experience developing consumer software products in the mobile space.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building user-centered features and products.

  • Experience working across multiple functions and teams.

  • Experience in user acquisition and retention.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience shipping products and managing the development process, from concept to launch.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will drive strategy and execution on key retention tools for Pixel. You will be responsible for two main horizontal efforts, Pixel’s Education and Discovery platform such as Pixel Tips and Pixel Drops. You will regularly update software to the entire Pixel portfolio (e.g.,Phone, Buds, Watch, Tablets). You will have the opportunity to drive innovative ways to increase user engagement, satisfaction and retention, through elevating the product experience across the device, with user-centered approach and product narrative.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead product road-map, definition and execution spanning the Pixel Tips app, phone and in-app education and discovery tools, intelligent tips across the user journey, and enhancing the overall platform capabilities and experience.

  • Work with feature teams and Technical Program Managers to manage the ongoing scope and narrative across Phones, Buds, Watch and Tablets.

  • Evaluate the product and portfolio story, while elevating the consumer-facing experience with each Pixel Drop to enhance excitement and engagement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Pixel and Google to ensure cohesion, consistency and coordination across these efforts and experiences.
