We're looking for an experienced and talented person to be a technical lead for the team responsible for our global footprint of collaboration services.
This position will require you to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across engineering
teams, marketing, finance and additional internal customers to drive progress towards goals. The ideal candidate will have led experience-driven change that resulted in increased organizational productivity and performance with a portfolio of competing tools (Slack, Teams, Zoom).
As a Senior Staff Enterprise Engineer, you will be responsible for leading design, implementation, and optimization of our collaboration infrastructure. You will play a key role in enabling seamless communication and collaboration across our teams, ensuring that our technology solutions are aligned with our business goals and provide a productive, scalable, and secure environment for all employees.
Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise platforms such as Microsoft M365, Sharepoint, Teams, Slack, Tableau, Zoom, and Google Workspace; plan & prioritize the service roadmap and enhancements.
• Act in owner and expert roles with collaboration technologies across applications, infrastructure, devices and physical spaces (subject matter expert in collaboration technology and capabilities).
• Guide the team to self-organize in refining & managing the product backlog and delivering quality services ahead of demand to deliver consistent business value.
• Influence the product roadmap of collaboration vendors so they meet the stated business and technical needs of the organization.
• Champion the end-user perspective around their use of and problems with our collaboration tools through engineering-driven remedies and improvements.
• Seek out sources of tech debt and internal and external service friction, and collaborate to resolve them via automation and other solutions.
• Identify solution and integration gaps, drive gap analysis and closure through responsible teams.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for enterprise tool usage.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of tools and infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide tier-3 support for enterprise platforms and infrastructure.
• Create process to autonomously manage technology for services, being accountable for achieving targets availability, performance and KPI's for the enterprise experience (driving capacity right sizing, utilization, adoption and lifecycle)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and deliver customized solutions.
• Facilitating technical discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution involving technical decisions within the team, across the organization and across horizontal technical groups.
• Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information of the team status and issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, and assess their applicability to business goals, including best-in-class buy vs build options.
• Key role in fiscal year planning which can involve cost to serve and reporting.
• Facilitate the removal of tactical and technical impediments to team progress.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in designing, architecting, managing and supporting enterprise platforms in a large-scale environment, such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
• 5+ years experience with network protocols, security principles, and IT infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Background in an engineering or development position.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills and strong executive presentation skills.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, Google) are preferred.
• Experience steering a team delivering large, complex initiatives and projects from initiation to completion.
• Experience overcoming the difficulties of instrumenting and architecting a global service that is relied upon 24/7.
• Effective in promoting ideas and collaboration at the various levels of the organization.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with a large subset of the following technologies: Microsoft 365 including Exchange, Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise Grid, Power BI / Tableau / Qlik / Looker (or equivalent), Zoom or equivalent collaboration service, In-office video conferencing technology, Enterprise PBX

Linkedln is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $146,000 to $242,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
