Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.

• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

• 5 years of experience in Android application development.

• 5 years of experience with team management, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading operational initiatives.

• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

• Experience developing Android apps and managing teams.

• Applied Machine Learning experience.

• Deep understanding of machine learning and image/video/display processing algorithms for mobile photography applications.

Our goal is to empower our users with simple tools to express themselves creatively. We build the photo, video, and movie editors in Google Photos, and are embarking on a new journey to allow users to create and edit their content. We focus on bringing Google’s cutting edge computational photography technologies to Photos and delivering a reliable and delightful editing experience for Photos’ users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
