The Commercial Operations job owns operational direction of all facets of loan processing including origination, processing and closing. While managing multiple teams led by managers and team leaders within commercial operations, this job is responsible for execution of short to mid-term loan processing strategy, directing teams to process and manage loan applications, and ensuring compliance with bank and state policies, laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Executes strategy and provides operational direction to the middle and back office of commercial banking to ensure efficiency and compliance with internal and external policies.

  • Implements and provides leadership, coaching, and process improvement initiatives that are necessary to improve the operational efficiency of all commercial businesses.

  • Advises on workflow improvements, including establishing quality assurance standards, expediting problem resolution, and maintaining production throughput.

  • Manages relationships with other departments, such as branch banking to identify the business opportunities and improvements of bank commercial operation.

  • Reviews commercial operation documentation and materials to ensure compliance with banking policies and regulations.

  • Audits compliance with corporate and regulatory procedures by monitoring operational processes.

  • Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of high quality commercial operations projects and engagement, motivation, and development of team.

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • This role will be managing the Operations teams dedicated to our Vendor Equipment Finance business

  • This includes the healthcare, industrial & capital markets platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tenured commercial operations/management experience within small ticket Vendor Equipment Finance

  • Significant, hands-on experience working with lease accounting/servicing systems

  • Experience sourcing, reviewing and implementing new lease systems into a small ticket equipment leasing operation

  • Experience working with offshore/onshore outsourcing vendors and related workflow management strategies

  • Experience working with automation technologies and identifying automation opportunities

  • Prior management experience

  • Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to changes and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to effectively communicate upward, downward, with clients and other financial institutions

  • Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Pay Range $170,000 to $230,000
